The family of Vernard Bradley is sad to announce his peaceful passing in Bourget, Ontario on Wednesday, October 25 2017. Vernard was the son of the late Colin Bradley and Kathleen Hall. He was born at the family farm in Curran Ontario in 1931. He grew up with his two sisters, Lillias and Lola. Verne was a life-long member of the United Church of Canada. He was also recognized as a 60 year member of the Plantagenet Masonic Lodge A.F. & A.M. #186 GRC. Verne worked for Bell Canada in Ottawa, but continued with his heart felt love of farming on the family home stead where he and his father raised beef and dairy cattle. In later years, Verne sold the farm after he severed off several acres to build a house. From there he continued to be an active member of the community. Verne will be sorely missed by his sister Lillias Deevy, his long-time friend, Cecile Groulx and her family. Also by his nephew Thomas K. Deevy (Susan Haslam), his two nieces Sharron Deevy (Doyle Harrigan) and Lynne Deevy Williams (Darcy Williams), and by his extended family and friends. Verne was predeceased by his sister Lola Kelly and his brothers-in-law Dean Kelly and Thomas E. Deevy.The family will welcome visitors from 1pm to 3 pm and from 7 pm to 9 pm on Wednesday, November 1, 2017 at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario. Funeral service will be held in the United Church, Pendleton, Ontario on Thursday, November 2, 2017 at 11am followed by interment at Westminster Cemetery.
