Jean Ann, Peter, Maddie and Ellie, Though Joan’s visits to Peterborough were quite a while ago, as were the shopping trips with the girls to Montreal, her deep love for her family continued. She has such a supportive family and community that offered her so much love. It was clear that she contributed so much to her family and community. She will be missed, but her legacy will live on. We would like to extend our sympathy to Joan's family. We met Joan when we attended Knox Presbyterian Church in Vankleek Hill. She and Kathy became good friends over the years. We will miss her smile and kindness.

Last year visited with Joan when my brother was at Maxville Manor, he was across the hall from Joan and she recognized me immediately, When I would visit my brother I would stop to have a chat she was always well informed. Dear Jean Ann and family, Deepest sympathies to you on the passing of Joan. I can't remember a time growing up in Vankleek Hill when she was not joyfully greeting everyone at the fair, at a WI event, or other community event. So very sorry to hear of Joan's passing. Not sure if you remember me, JeanAnn. I woked with Kathy for years, and we had many dinners out with her and your Mom. Sorry I didn't make it too the service, but I am just reading this now. I would have loved to see Maddie and Ellie. Kathy loved them so much. Hope you're all doing well
