Obituary of Herbert Manuel Schwartz

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Herbert Manuel Schwartz on February 25, 2026 at the age of 83.

Herbert was the beloved son of the late Carl Schwartz and Rose Schwartz (nee Lerson). He lived a life marked by quiet strength, dedication to family, and a warm heart that touched all who knew him.

Herbert was a devoted husband to Geraldine Schwartz (nee McDonald), sharing a lifetime of love, partnership, and cherished memories. He was a proud and loving father to Cynthia (Daniel) and Verna (Scott), and a deeply adored grandfather to Alex.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate staff at the Ottawa Heart Institute and the Cornwall Community Hospital for their exceptional care and support.

Friends and family are invited to gather in celebration of Herbert’s life on Friday, March 6, 2026 from 2:00 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, Ontario. Words of remembrance will take place at 3:00 p.m., followed by a light luncheon.
