The last time Donald saw Ian was at the farm Show in Ottawa last year. Also, whenever Donald and Peter Delisle got together, Ian's name would come up in conversation. They were three men who knew the agricultural business as Donald ran Kelly's Farm Supplies in Huntingdon, QC (Case IH) and Peter, before relocating to Cornwall, ran the Case IH dealership in Lennoxville, QC and they both knew Ian and his passion for farm equipment.
We were surprised and saddened to learn of his passing. Please accept our sympathy.
Donald & Donna Erskine

My deepest sympathies to Jean, Eleanor and family, My thoughts are with you.
Our deepest condolences to Jean, and to Matthew, Carolyn, Meaghan and the extended families. Ian was a long time friend and we did business with both his Dad & then Ian over many, many, many years. Always very welcoming, "time to talk", willing to assist in any way to get your machinery up & running & sometimes having to move heaven & earth to find parts or the answers. Always taking it in his stride and considering it as his mandate to get you up and going.one more time. There are not many with such passion & devotion to their work & to the Farmers they served over the many, many decades, he will be missed. To his Family we wish you strength and courage as you go forward with the memories you made over the years with Dad/Ian. Rest in Peace Ian.

My heartfelt condolences on the passing of Ian.
He was such an integral part of the rural and agricultural fabric of your community.
When I was a young man working with Donald and Helen Cameron on their farm, Ian was instrumental in delivering such beautiful equipment to their farm. He made me a lover of IH equipment.
He catered to the needs of his customers with pride and dedication.
My last visit with Ian and Jean was at my funeral home in Arnprior when they came to pay respects to one of our client families.
Reconnecting with them after all those years was heartwarming and memorable.
May your own happy memories of times spent with Ian bring you comfort and peace in the days and weeks ahead as you adjust to his absence in your lives.

When i returned from Northwestern Ontario in 2006, after 40 years, Ian was one of the 1st people I met at the Fair. We recognized one another almost immediately. My memory of Ian his continuous smile and those sparkling eyes. Ian loved taking a walk down memeory lane anf we would reminise about our younger years. We would see each other afterwards on special occasion and he and Jean were always there to greet us and offer a seat near them. You will be missed by so many, my friend.

My favourite memory of Ian is when Carolyn and I lived in Ottawa and we visited him at an agricultural fair at Lansdowne park. It was so neat to have a glimpse into the world of tractors that I’d hear about. I’m remembering his friendly greetings and wonderful laugh through the years when Carolyn and I were housemates in Kingston then Ottawa. Condolences to you all.

Our most sincere condolences to our dear neighbour Jean and the Kerr and Higginson families.
Every time we met Ian, he was an absolute sweetheart with a big warm smile.
Back in 2003, a few days after our barn fire, he was the one who told our Dad that our tractor, which looked like a total loss, would still work if the rubber components were replaced. He was right, of course! That tractor worked for many years afterwards, and we were all very grateful to him for his indispensable assistance.
He will definitely be missed!
