Obituary of David Hrynkiw

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Mr. David Hrynkiw, who passed away, on Saturday, September 6th, 2025, at the age of 74.

He was devoted and loving father to Kacey and David Hrynkiw. He was the proud and cherished grandfather of Devon Burbank and Alexis Burbank.

He was predeceased by his beloved wife Debra Vigh (Hrynkiw), his parents Marie-Antoinette Durocher and Joseph Hrynkiw, as well as his brother Marc Hrynkiw.

He is lovingly reunited now with many friends and the love of his life, his Boogie.

He will be greatly missed by his friends & family and remembered by his grandchildren, his aunts & uncles, cousins & his cherished Godmother, Lillianne. 

A memorial service to celebrate David’s life will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home on Saturday, September 27th, 2025, at 2:00 p.m.

In honour of Mr. Hrynkiw’s memory, donations to the Royal Canadian Legion (Branch 423) would be greatly appreciated.

A Tree of Remembrance will be planted in Vankleek Hill’s McAlpine Forest to commemorate his enduring spirit.
