Uncle Charlie, as he was known to our family, was a wonderful person, larger than life! His face lit up with a big smile when he greeted you. He had a cheerful laugh to match his energetic voice. We are grateful that our Mom, Laurette, had the chance to spend much valuable time with her big brother in his final months, weeks and days. They reminisced over shared memories, retold stories, laughed a lot, and even cried a little. These are special memories Mom will hold closely until they meet again.

Uncle Charlie was always there for Mom, especially through some tough times, when she needed to lean on her older brother for strength and comfort. So it was a blessing that she had the chance to be there for him in the end, returning the love, support and comfort to her big brother.

Our deepest, heartfelt sympathies to our cousins; Marc, Chantal, Claude, Pascal & Dominic and their families. The loss of a parent is profound.

And sincerest condolences to Maureen and your family, at this very sad time. May your memories bring you comfort & peace in time.

I wanted to offer my condolences to Marc, Claude, Chantal, Pascal, Dominic and their families. I spent a lot of time growing up on their farm as a kid and the Berniqués were my second family. I have fond memories of those summers spent doing hay and farm chores and learning what hard work and dedication looked like. These are life lessons I’ve carried with me. Thank you.

Chère Maureen, je pense à toi à travers cette épreuve . Je pense à toi de tout cœur ! Nous ne pourrons pas être là le 5 septembre en personne avec toi , Kathy et Francis et la famille et amis et ceux de ton conjoint , mais nos pensées vous accompagneront.

Je conserve de bons souvenirs de Monsieur Berniquez lorsqu’il opérait la station d’essence sur la Route 34. Il était chaleureux et aidant. Une personne de coeur.

On se revoit bientôt Maureen j’espère.
