Obituary of Marjorie Daigle

Marjorie “Margie” Daigle passed away peacefully on July 31, 2025, at the age of 85, surrounded by the love of her family.

Born in Montreal on May 25, 1940, to the late Percy and Tessie Robinson, Margie lived a full and spirited life defined by her deep devotion to family, a sharp sense of humour, and an unwavering zest for life.

She is lovingly remembered by her children: Sandra (Rob), Danny (Rose), Deb (Rick), Tara (Tom), Ron (Lianne), and John (Joy); her 11 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Margie also leaves behind her siblings Brian (Trudy), Stephen (Mary Rita), and Barbara, and is predeceased by her brother David (Monique).

Margie’s warmth, spunk, and laughter touched everyone who knew her, and she continued to share joy and love until her final days. The family extends heartfelt thanks to the wonderful caregivers at Bayshore Home Healthcare for their compassionate support.

A celebration of Margie’s life will be held at Hillcrest Funeral Home, 151 Bond Street, on Friday, August 22, 2025, at 3:00 p.m. Visitation will take place from 1:00 p.m. to 3:00 p.m.

In honour of Margie’s joyful spirit, guests are kindly asked to wear colourful clothing to the celebration.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Vincent de Paul in Alexandria, Ontario, a cause close to Margie’s heart.

A Tree of Remembrance will be planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest in Vankleek Hill in memory of Margie.
