Obituary of June Eileen Skelly

It is with sadness that we announce the passing of June Skelly, who passed away peacefully on July 17, 2025 at the age of 93. She was the daughter of the late John Sproule and the late Mary Jane Sproule (nee Mace) and the beloved wife to the late Ray Skelly. She leaves in sadness many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends. She was predeceased by her brothers Jimmy Sproule, Wesley Sproule and her sister Beatrice Waugh.

The family would like to thank the Champlain Long Term Care Residence for their amazing care and compassion provided.

The family will receive relatives and friends on Wednesday, July 23, 2025 from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. at Hillcrest Funeral Home 151 Bond Street, Vankleek Hill, ON. The funeral will take place the same day at 2 p.m. in the chapel of the funeral home.  

In memory of Mrs. Skelly, donations to the Dementia Society Ottawa and Renfrew County would be greatly appreciated.

A Tree of Remembrance will be planted in Vankleek Hill's McAlpine Forever Forest in June's name.
