Obituary of Sheila Paterson

Sheila Paterson (née Splitt) 1935 - 2025

Dalkeith, Ontario

It's with love and gratitude for a life well lived, that we announce the passing of Sheila Paterson in her 90th year, on Monday, May 12, 2025, following a brief battle with cancer. We are comforted knowing she has entered eternal rest with her Heavenly Father.

Sheila was predeceased by her devoted husband Calvin, and her beloved parents Thomas and Jessie Splitt. She was the cherished mother of Andrew (Sandy), Mark, Calvin (Marie- Hélène), and Heather (Stuart); proud grandmother of Rebecca (Patrick), Jennifer (Benjamin), Bryan, Zachary, and Spencer; and loving great-grandmother of Salem and Brennan. She is also reunited in peace with her brother John (Jackey), brother-in-law Ivan (Andrea) and daughter-in-law Sandy.

Family and friends are invited to celebrate Sheila's life on Saturday May 17th, 2025, at Breadalbane Baptist Church 22015 Breadalbane Road, Dalkeith, ON. Visitation will begin at 10:30 a.m., followed by a service of remembrance at 11 a.m. Sheila will be laid to rest at Kirk Hill United Cemetery, Kirk Hill, ON

In lieu of flowers, donations in Sheila's memory to The Canadian Cancer Society 55 St.Clair Ave W , Suite 300, Toronto, ON, M4V 2Y7 or  the Glengarry Memorial Hospital 20260 County Road 43, Alexandria, ON, KOC 1A0 would be greatly appreciated.

A Tree of Remembrance will be planted in the McAlpine Forever Forest in Sheila's memory.
