Celebration Of Life
Condolences
Dear Pat and the whole Kerr family, please accept my deepest heartfelt condolences for your loss of Richard. He was such a generous, intelligent and compassionate man of wisdom about the natural world and a great part of the community, going back decades. I'm very sorry. Larissa Douglass
I'll always remember Richard helping my folks out with a heat pump decades ago... he was so friendly, explaining how it all worked to me, a kid at the time. Inspiring!
Sunny, Patricia & family: my condolences, I'm sorry for your loss.
The whole gang of the Atlantic Allstars house band in Alexandria offer our condolences for the loss of the Free Spirit that was Richard, dancing, taking cell phone videos, and bringing our tip bucket (now the Richard Kerr Tip Bucket) all around the bar while wearing his beautiful hand knitted large green tuque, and leaving fresh veggies outside on a bench for those who wanted or needed them..An absolute ONE of a KIND!
My sincere condolences to Pat and family. Richard was such a lot of fun. He will be especially missed at The Barn where he would encourage everyone to get up and dance!
Please accept my condolences, Pat and family.
Peace and blessings to Pat and the entire family. My favourite memory of Richard is at a Vermont dance retreat where he had brought wings to dance the dance “wearing my long tail feathers as I fly.” I envision Richard dancing in spirit.
A great neighbour and friend for over 16 years. Richard would knock on our door with armfuls of vegetables from his prodigious garden right across the road. A kind and generous man. Deepest condolences to Pat, their family and loved ones.
Dear Pat and family, We're sorry to see that Richard has passed away. Please accept our sympathy.

Brian and I were saddened by the news of Richard's passing. He was a great neighbor, friend and landlord ... he will be surely missed!
I was very saddened to hear of the passing of dear Richard. Twenty five years ago I bought two wood stoves from him. He was friendly and he gave me good advice. Since then our paths have crossed only infrequently but I always felt a bond with him. He was a very fine man and I wish that we had shared more time together. My sincere sympathies to Pat and family.
I remember him being uneasy but keeping a positive smile as he had to be my passenger when I was just a young person driving on a Kerr family trip to Cape Breton! He has always had a joie de vivre! When I look up at the night sky and see a bright, dancing star, I will think of him!
Always in our hearts. Thinking of you, Pat, Carolyn & you all!

Dear Pat and family,
We were deeply saddened to hear about the passing of Richard. He was not only an intellectual and a mentor to so many but also a truly personable and easy-going soul who touched countless lives with warmth, wisdom, and kindness.
Richard had a rare gift—an ability to make everyone feel seen and valued, whether through insightful guidance or simple, genuine conversation. His free-spirited nature brought joy and inspiration to those lucky enough to know him, and the legacy of his impact will live on in the many lives he influenced.
While words cannot ease the weight of this loss, I hope you find comfort in knowing how deeply Richard was admired and loved. He will be greatly missed, but the light he brought into the world will never fade.
Please accept our heartfelt condolences. If there’s anything we can do to support you during this difficult time, don’t hesitate to reach out.
With sympathy,
Danny & Sharlyne Jay
My sincere condolences to the family and friends of Richard. I worked for Richard for 7 years and I must say he was an expert within the Sunworks Inc. business. I learned a lot from him. RIP
Our condolences to the family! Richard helped us many times with our wood stoves over the past 35 years. He taught me many things that I will remember over my lifetime. He was polite, funny and so full of knowledge.
RIP Richard!
