Celebration of Life
Condolences
My Condolences to her family. This is very sad. I met Donna-Lou while volunteering and she became my friend. A great woman. She will be missed.
I have known Donna-Lou for many years as we shared granddaughters together. We both became Great Grandmothers in February. I last saw Donna-Lou at Christmas and we were both so excited looking forward to the day when Maddox would arrive. I am so sad that she will not be able to be here to enjoy him with me. The news of Donna-Lou's passing came as a shock. She was so kind and sharing and always with a smile and a big hug and kiss on the cheek. The World is a better place because Donna-Lou was in it. She will be missed by all who had the pleasure of knowing her. My sincere condolences to Sabrina, Greg, and family.
Last I saw Donna Lou she was her usual cheerful self. We had lunch. Can’t count the number of meetups at the Blues Fest. The endless Avon orders over 25 years. The many laughs at my desk at 77 Metcalfe Street. Fond memories. Our most Sincere condolences. Donna Lou will be deeply missed.

I worked with Donna-Lou for many years. She was a kind and caring individual and she will be missed by many. I offer my sincère condoléances to her family!
Donna-Lou lit up our community art classes with her creativity, enthusiasm and humour. She was a joy to be around and always made art more fun.
Dear Greg and Sabrina,
My deepest and most heart-felt condolences. Your mother truly was a loving and warm-hearted person whose kindness, zest for life, thoughtfulness to others and commitment to our community will be sorely missed. You are both blessed to have had such a wonderful person as a mom, and her loving spirit is reflected in both of you! Heaven has gained another angel. Now it's time for you and yours to be there for each other and cherish the memories.
Neil
My deepest condolences to all. I was a recipient of the Birthday Eve calls for many years! I can remember being in the oddest of places, in my car, pulling over to answer the phone, and there was Donna-Lou, with her pre-birthday greetings. I feel privileged to have been part of the pack! God speed, Donna-Lou xoxoxo Susan
My condolences to Donna-Lou,s family especially to Sabrina and Greg and Grands whom she loved dearly, Donna-Lou became a very important person in our lives in the last 8 or so yrs, when i first met her she greeted me with hugs and always a kiss on the cheek, i ran a social group that often had Themed potluck party events and she was always one of the 1st to click going, dressed the part with delight, we had several Hippie, xmas, Halloween and wine and cheese events and when she arrived she met us all with the biggest smiles, she loved the choices of food, but was a true dessert lover, and she sure did have a good size plate of desserts, my last conversation with Donna Lou over the phone was in Jan and we were planning a Valentines get together for Feb, she so wanted to come so badly.. we discussed a possible operation coming up for her in the future and we ended our chat with i will try to come and see you there if i need to and i love you, always a i love you.. i was in shock to hear such sad news, my heart just sank.. this woman was full of life and always had a good sense of humor and good mood, i will have fond memories of Donna-Lou and i can still hear her voice in my head, this time saying, its ok im alright and love you..
Donna Lou was a cherished and irreplaceable part of the Winthrop Court Community House family. We saw her almost every day—sharing conversations, coffee, art-making, and soup. She had an incredible gift for sensing when someone was tired or feeling down, always ready with her famous Donna Lou hug.
Her creativity and care shone through in everything she did, with a deep love for butterflies and angels. I always noticed her absence during Bluesfest, but she would return with boundless energy and great stories to share.
Donna Lou was a force—a vibrant, caring presence who made our community brighter
