Suddenly at the Chartwell Lancaster on Sunday, December 24, 2017 with his wife by his side Stanley Forbes of Vankleek Hill passed away at the age of 91. Predeceased by his parents Duncan Forbes and Evelyn MacLaurin Loving and devoted husband for 65 years to Ruth (née Anderson). Loving father of of Eleanor, Dorothy Pizarro (Rei) and the late Stuart (Sue). Cherished grandfather of Erin (Steve), the late Shannon, Caleb, Reinaldo-Joshua (Dara), Jordan (Evie), the late Dana, Tamara (Chris), Danmar (Jessica) and Korina (Steve). Dear great-grandfather of 15 great-grandchildren. Predeceased by his brothers Clarence and Leslie. Dear brother-in-law of Kay Forbes and Della Forbes. Fondly remembered by his many nieces, nephews and cousins. Stanley was very proud to serve his community in many different facets over the years, as an electrician and refrigeration business owner, founder and former owner of Hillcrest Funeral Home, proud and long standing member of Breadalbane Baptist Church, Trustee of the Prescott and Russell County Board of Education, The Gideons and Men for Missions to name a few. Relatives and friends are invited to attend a Service on Saturday December 30, 2017 at 11 am at Breadlabane Baptist Church 22015 Breadalbane Road, Dalkeith. Spring interment Breadalbane Cemetery.
